Our Mission

We strive to create a more affordable option to grieving families in times of hardship. We value integrity above all else and are always working to improve ourselves. Whether we are building our caskets or dealing with customers, we guarantee honesty and dedication to every task. As a faith based company we hope that through every action, no matter how small, that we can make a positive change in our community.

Our History

In 1990, Jake Klassen had a dream to start his own casket company. To make an affordable alternative for families. Unfortunately at the time he didn’t have the means to see that dream come to fruition. But now, 30 years and 4 kids later, he finally gets to see that dream come to life. Jake never gave up on his dream, instead choosing to pass it on to his children, making Prairie Caskets a truly family owned and operated business. Two of his sons, Joshua and Jonathan, built the shop from the ground up, while his wife Sara and daughter Rebecca, took care of the admin responsibilities. Now, with a brand new shop and a hardworking family, Prairie Caskets is proud to be open for business.
